the ghosts in Super Mario Brothers! I figured it out last night when I was listening to her start to cry. Granted, neither girl cries much (yet) and are very contented with each other.
But, when they do, they can wail!
So, anyway, if you’ve ever played Super Mario Bros by Ninetendo — for the Game Cube, there are these ghosts that surround an area outside of the castle. They make a funny laugh/cry sound when you get near them.
