The trip was a success. It was longer than a 4 hour drive though. Going, we’d taken US 1 S to Hwy 20. Coming back, I took Hwy 20 to 95 to 40. Both really took between 4.5 and 5 hours. 🙁
I got bored between Columbia, SC (where I dropped my companion at the airport) and home. So I called and talked to my sister (who was in Miami living it up at a work-related conference … hunh hunh…) and Ron and my parents. 🙂 Killed a bunch of time!
I got home about 9:45pm after starting out at 5:30am, getting to Ft. Gordon at 6:30am and working until 4pm straight. Long, but fun(!) day!
Ron even said that it didn’t seem like the girls “missed” me all that much. I think that’s just because they are so used to Daddy, that it just was longer time with Daddy. They were in bed when I got home, but when they woke at night, they got me! 😀
