Our mold test kit sure enough shows the presence of mold. It’s actually quite gross.
I have no comparison though as I didn’t know, before I started, that I should have gotten two and done and inside and outside comparison. I think I’ll get one today though and do another.
I called a mold identification service and it’s $495 to *test* for mold. While I was on the phone with him, the bird was chirping away in the background and he said, “do I hear a bird?” I said yes, a parakeet. He said “birds are supposedly highly sensitive to mold. I’ve gone to several homes for inspections because of a bird’s death.” Since our parakeet is still very much alive, I think we can probably rule our non-natural mold issues. 🙂
But, I’ll get the outdoor kit too and potentially send this one off to the lab to be sure there isn’t anything bad in it. And, I think I’ll go bleach the area… *again*.
