We’re heading to the hospital to room-in tomorrow. Because of all the preparation work we’ve been doing, we didn’t get to see the girls more than once today. But, they are still doing well and all is on schedule to room-in and take them home by Tuesday!
Emily now weighs 4lbs 15oz and a little… so just shy of the 5lb mark. Abby weighs 5lbs 14oz and a little… so just shy of the 6lb mark.
Ron thinks they look more and more alike … profile, chin, etc. whereas I think they look very different still. We’ll just have to see as they grow and their weight difference doesn’t add to their being/looking different.
We also went through the teaching checklist tonight. How to bathe them (since Abby lost her umbilical cord and Emily hasn’t), how to feed them (duh!), how to do this and that… what to do if their temps go above 100.5, etc. I think we’ll have everything handled just fine!
They are definately getting to be champion nursers, too. Abby really likes to take her time getting latched though. And, she will NOT relatch if she falls asleep. Emily, on the other hand, is a true piglet and once near me, she latches with no problem! 😉
