He signed up today and has his books and everything in place.
He asked me if I was scared — with this and with him on his motorcycle and honestly, I’m not. It would SUCK big time if anything happened to him, but we only get to live one life. I’m trying to get my business going, he watches the girls full time; we gotta have and enjoy life!
Since this is something he wants to do, I support him fully.
The interesting part is that Joseph has also shown a strong in interest in motorcycles and airplanes as do the GIRLS! Yes, the girls are absolutely fascinated by airplanes. This morning, prior to departing for the official signup, Abby asked if we could go see “Airplanes? Outside?”
It’s just really interesting and will be interesting to see if either pursues it. Think about Dannica Patrick — she just signed to drive Indy cars for the Andretti team. She’s the fastest woman driver in Indy. I’d be happy if one of my kids did that for a living!
Yeah, it’s scary, but it’s part of life and we might as well enjoy whatever we can … within reason. 😉
