Last night, Abby did this and stunned me. So tonight, I repeated to see if it was a fluke and then got Ron to come in an listen too. It’s real! Abby more than Emi, but Emi chimed in a few times too. So the conversation went like this:
Me: Abby, let’s count! [the key here is that each number is said V E R Y slowly]
Abby: one
Me: [in shock] one
Abby: two
Me: [still in shock] twoooooooo, good, what comes next?
Abby: three
Me: [Now freaking out!!] wow, and then?
Abby: four
Me: [I’m going to have a heart attack by now] and then?
She got stumped here
Me: five
Abby: five
Abby: six! [very excitedly!]
Abby: seven
Me: And then? — she got stumped again
Me: Nine — still stumped
Me: ten!
Yeah!!!
Then, tonight, we repeated it with Ron there.
She did just about the same and Emily chimed in around numbers 5/6. When she got to eight, I said “what’s next?” and she said “ten!”
