As we already know, Emi says “duck”. Why that is her first real word, I’ll never know. But it most certainly is. Tonight, at bath time, she was playing in the water and I said “Emi, where’s Sylvester?”
Sylvester is the cat (from the cartoon) that Emi loves to play with in the tub. On Sylvester sits tweety (aka duck). After I asked her the question, she looked around on both sides of herself and saw Sylvester.
I said “Emi, where’s duck?” She grabbed Sylvester, pointed at Tweety, said “Duck” and handed it to me.
It’s awesome the amount of understanding they are beginning to have. Emi more so verbally and Abby physically, but both are just amazing!
