3/4 of the wall is back up!

Brooke and Haley Preston from church came and babysat the girls this afternoon while Ron, Joseph and I worked to put the wall back up. We started in the garage because it ws going to be the craziest. Rather than unhook the water heater and slap up the drywall, we worked around it. 🙂 Lots of intricate measurements and it slid together like a piece of a puzzle.

It’s messy, meaning the edges are jagged and such, but that’s what drywall mud and tape is for!

Right before we had to take our babysitters back, we finished putting the insulation back in. This is a funny story in itself. We measured and knew we needed 36 feet of insulation. Of all things, when I went to buy everything the insulation bag said 93 inchese which translates to 7.75 feet. What the Home Depot guy, nor I noticed was that the bag said 7 93″ pieces. So, I bought 5 BAGS(!) of insulation, which actually would have totaled 271 feet of insulation! Needless to say, we only needed 3/4 of one bag and so I took the rest back. Thank goodness Home Depot is so close!

We also got two pieces of drywall up in the dining room, but it was getting late and the girls were getting fussy, so we called it a night. Tomorrow for more!
