NC Zoo trip with other twins!

We met up with five other twin families from around NC today at the Zoo. It was a fantastic day for the zoo and it was *soo* perfect that we forgot what the sun does to skin. We all got sunburned… the girls first, my neck, Ron’s face, but I think Joseph went somewhat unscathed.

Lunch was great with everyone. The other twin families cames from Greensboro, Kernersville, Winston-Salem, Raleigh, Clayton and us, in Apex.

It was a pot-luck picnic. We had chips (lots!), cake, a big cookie, sandwich makings, fruit salad, soda, water, juice, ice, potatoe and macaroni salad, apple slices and a coffee cake. Yum!

We all spent about 2 hours together, chatting, taking pictures, talking about life with twins, etc. The youngest were our girls at 10 months… two sets turning one this week or the next and three sets over 2 years old. We had four boy/girl sets, and two ID girl sets. All of us are members of a website, called Twinstuff. 🙂

After lunch, we all split… of course that doesn’t mean we didn’t see each other again as we walked the zoo.

All the moms and babies!

None of the shots I took included all the babies. Either one had gotten picked up, hadn’t been put on the ground yet or was crawling or walking away. So this one of all the moms and kids is the best because it shows us all!

What was so funny was all the Dads taking pictures. 6 dads and Joseph all taking pictures of 6 moms and 12 kids on the ground. 🙂

It was so much fun and I can’t wait to meet up with these ladies and others again soon!
