We actually got two more sets of bills for the girls. One, for Abby’s surgeon and one for both girls for those monitors.
The surgeon’s cost was $2079 and they are just NOW filing it (despite the procedure having been done July 6th!).
The monitors cost $358 per month and they each had them for all or a portion of 2 months. So, totaly cost $1432 (seems ridiculously high to me!)
So, if you recall, Abby’s “birth” cost $44,195, plus the monitors equals $44,911. Emily’s “birth” cost $41,726, plus the monitors equals $42,442. Add them up and add my cost of $12,391 in gets $99,744 still, just shy of the $100k mark!
So, if we go back in and add in the costs of the Perinatologist appointments (which I’d forgotten because they were filed during the pregnanct, against me) that totalled $3480, the overall cost is actually $103,224! I knew it would be more than $100k! 😉
Abby’s surgey cost $13,246.47, plus the surgeon’s fee that we just got equals $15,325.47 and Emily’s part was $1691 for a total of $17,016.47.
Man, medical costs are amazing, but oh so worth it!
