The YMCA program took the Navigators and Tenderfoots (J is a Navigator) to the Asheboro, NC zoo today. Apparently the trip was a wild success. Matt, J’s counselor, told me that he slept the entire way home. I guess he was quite worn out!
Joseph told me the trip was neato and his favorite animals were the tigers, polar bears and sharks. Sharks?? I didn’t know there was an aquarium at our zoo!
He also mentioned the gorillas as a point of interest.
This was a pretty big field trip for him — nearly 2 hours by bus away, but he did wonderfully!
