At home now!

We got home today right around noon (ish). The cats were quite happy to see us as they were out of food and water… hadn’t prepared to be away 3 days, just 2, oh well. Neither is hurting for food! 😉

We got both girls in and resetup with their Gymini and bouncy seats. Abby’s reflux hurts when she lays on her back too soon after eating, so the bouncy seat is a life saver! She can sit up, supported and sleep away.

She’s still a sleepy one, I mean, c’mon… surgery was less than 72 hours ago! So, she’s sleeping a lot. But, today, she was wide awake for some time and during that time, let us know, in no uncertain terms, that she was hungry!

She managed to hold down everything except her 9:45 am and 10:00 pm feeds. But, after each, she was hungry again, so we let her have whatever she wanted. She nursed again too. Manager to get her back on twice for a 5 and 15 minute session respectively.

Emily is still little miss piggy and must be going through a growth spurt because she’s been nursing a ton these last few days. And, in a manner typical of a breastfed baby, she’s been providing presents for us on a VERY regular basis. Knock on wood that continues such that there is no pyloric stenosis issues for her!

Both girls are still sleeping in the pack-n-play. But, I re-read the weight limit today and it’s not 20 pounds, rather 15! So, in 3 more pounds, we’re going to have to move to the crib… in the other room! Ahhhhh! 🙁

Here’s to having a good first (again) night at home!
