Abby ate a full 1oz (30cc) of Pedialyte today at 12:45! Yeah!
Of course this was immediately proceeded by vomiting up more stomach acid and having a poopy diaper that was just as black and tar like as a newborns! ugh!
This Pedialyte feed is the first step in her eating recovery. It was expected that she’d eat this within 2 hours of the surgery yesterday, but noooooo! She wanted to sleep and take advantage of an IV with fluid instead of working for her food! 😉
Now, we wait until 2:45pm for a 1oz serving of breastmilk and then 2 more hours for it to stay down. After that… we’ll just have to see!
