Abby and Emily both have been diagnosed with reflux — and confirmed through an upper GI test. Abby’s seems to be worse than Emily’s, but neither is particularly bothered by it.
However, one of the many “side effects” of reflux is spitting up — not spitting up like most babies though, but a full-throttle vomit. That is just so disgusting!!! 😉
Last night, during Abby’s 4:00 am feeding, she had a particularly nasty bout with her reflux and basically gave me back 10-20cc of a 50cc bottle. Ugh!
Unfortunately, it’s something these girls will just have to work out of their system. Their medications help, but it’s not a cure-all. And, last night is true evidence of that.
