Joseph had his 7th birthday party today. His birthday itself is actually on Monday, but who wants a party on a Monday? 🙂
We woke up to rain, rain and more rain this morning. Luckily, by 1pm, the sun had come out a bit and the party fun was able to take place. Not that it wouldn’t have otherwise, it just would have been different.
This year, the party was at FunWerks, a arcade, laser tag, go-cart fun place. Everything started at 11:30 am with our arrival and we didn’t leave until 4:00 pm! Joseph had 9 friends join him, including, Austin, Jackson, Brandon, Logan, Ryan and Brigitte from school, and Allyssa from church and Sara and Daniel, his cousins, too.
After lots of pizza, a Scooby Doo cake and a boat load of great presents, including SpiderMan and Yu Gi Oh!, Hot Wheels cars and other various gifts. Because he’s going to Grandma and Grandpa’s for the week, he didn’t even get to play with any of the new stuff and only took a small portion with him … the nerf shooter gun, SpiderMan hand web thing, and his new Yu Gi Oh! cards.
All the kids, and their parents headed out to the go-carts for some double-riding fun. Luckily, they were able to dry off the race-track relatively quickly! Then, they were off to Laser Tag and from their split to doing whatever they and their parent wanted.
The last to leave were the family, of course and that was after a couple of ICEES and some dippin dots (chocolate of course!)
Joseph was absolutely tired out and slept on the way home, and to the hospital (for our daily visit to the girls). I think he’ll sleep well tonight after such a big day.
